As most of you know this is my 5th grade year. My school's new counselor decided to have an election for student council. I knew I wanted to be president but I didn't want to admit it, I had thoughts about being embarrassed if I lost, but what if I won. I took it upon myself to fill out the form and hand it in. When I let go of the form I thought that this is it, here we go, this will effect my 5th grade year for better or for worse. I waited and waited and I prayed and prayed. Then all the people that where running had to go to a lunch meeting, I walked in and sat at the president section and counted all the people, 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10...11. 11 people running against me.
During that lunch meeting we had to make one flyer for the primary vote to narrow the people so that 3 people were running for each position. Okay, I can do that, and I did. The day rolled around and my counselor announced who won the primary vote. me and two others. When she said my name I wasn't really listening to the other winners I was just thanking God. When we where done I thought of all the things I will have to do.
1. make 4 posters in one night
2. write a speech
3. make two guest appearances on the school news and make another one if I win
4. have to deal with the pressure and anxiety of waiting till she announced the winners
I made the speech said it on our school's news and made the posters.
Then it was time to vote. This is it I filled out my form and at the end of the day she told the primary winners who won but we weren't allowed to tell anyone outside of your family.
I won. I made it. It was worth it. I love it.
lots of people know me now, but I am just happy to help my school.

A Day in the Life after School
1. Changed clothes

3. Mom came home with Philip and Luke so they could play mine craft together
4. Finished homework and showed mom a power point of my grammar homework
5. Dad left a phone out of the attic and had to go up there and get it
6. Got bored watching mine craft and went to do this
7. About to go curl up and read Mocking jay after this headache

My Grandmother was Mugged
Last February, my grandmother was mugged. We call her Maga. Anyway she was getting groceries out of her car when someone came up behind her and grabbed her from behind. She screamed loudly and saw the jacket the robber was wearing. The person said. "Shut up or I'll kill you," The person hit her with something heavy pushed her to the ground and took off. Maga saw footsteps and thought the robber came back! Maga called 911 when she saw her neighbor coming. He said that he saw the a man running, and he was African American. The neighbor took the phone and the police showed up. Maga called my mom and my aunt, oh and it was snowing. The police said to take Maga to the ER to make sure her head wasn't damaged, and it wasn't.
The next day she slept over with us and we made arrangements to get her gate fixed, a big light in her yard, and an alarm system. After that was done she felt safe and went back home with no sign of the robber near her house.
About 6 weeks later Maga saw the same jacket and the same car she recognized that night, she called 911. I don't know what happened after she called.
A few months back she was scheduled to go to trail with the man she saw, a suspect. That day I was home sick and my mom and aunt went to the trail. My mom's friend watched me until they came back. When they did they had to go back in less that an hour. My mom's friend had to pick up her kids from school and if they get sick, they get really really sick. So I stayed home alone for 7 or 8 hours and I texted my mom's friend every now and then, because she was scared for me. I mostly watched TV. When they came home,and it wasn't over. They had a jury that made the decision a couple days later, we where hoping guilty but unfortunately he was found. not guilty. We where heartbroken, but happy it was over. Maga is fine there has been no disturbance and we are sort of back to normal.

I heard a Shotgun one Night
Last night I heard a gun, I was scared and I thought it fireworks no problem. The next morning I heard mom talking about a shooting. I said that I heard a gun fired. I realized that last nights sound really was a gun.
There was a shooting 3 blocks away from our house. My old principal's husband died. I was totally petrified.
Mom told me to get dressed and come outside to play and she will tell what happened.
I found out, I was scared, and I was sad. I don't have the facts, and I don't want to spread fasle information, but that is what I know.
